What’s Included in Your Mini Session

These portraits are soft, clean, & story-focused; offered in a private, natural-light space with a simple white backdrop, real greenery, & child-led posing. Designed for families who appreciate unfussy elegance & moments that feel both timeless & real.

Each session is styled with a curated, minimalist setup featuring fresh plants, a blank canvas on easel (optional), and a relaxed studio atmosphere. Fresh floral bundles are available à la carte to enhance your portrait or take home after your session.

This is not themed. It is not rushed.
It is simply a portrait experience built around presence, natural ease, and honest connection.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Your portraits will be captured in a dedicated, distraction-free photographing room. Each family is invited to wait in our spacious studio lounge, where you’re welcome to settle in no more than five minutes before your scheduled time. With an open kitchen, workspace, and child-friendly space available, you’ll find the environment calm and welcoming.

Each session is paced with precision, and the set is carefully reset between appointments to preserve both aesthetic integrity and studio hygiene.

7 final, retouched portraits of your choosing
One household per session
Five signature poses
Option to purchase additional images at any time

Sessions are scheduled back-to-back; punctuality is essential

LOCATION & SETTING

These sessions are held exclusively at the Beaux & Arrows studio in Portland, Maine’s Northgate neighborhood. The studio offers a private entrance, off-street parking, and a secure, reset space between each session with a full ktichen, full bath, and waters available for all.

GUEST REQUIREMENTS & POLICIES

All appointments require a pre-session consultation with me via Google Meet, scheduled after booking
Appointments are non-refundable but may be transferred or gifted with notice
By purchasing, guests agree to all studio terms and policies
Your imagery will never be shared or used in marketing unless you offer written consent after receiving your final gallery

WHAT TO WEAR

Choose clothing that allows your presence to lead. Think soft fabrics, rich textures, and classic silhouettes. Neutral tones, earthy colors, and soft pastels photograph beautifully against the white backdrop and natural greens of the studio.

Avoid fluorescent colors, heavy graphics, or large patterns. These can distract from your expression and overwhelm the softness of the scene. Instead, lean into cotton, linen, knits, and layers that move gently and feel lived in. Bare feet are welcome and encouraged, especially for children.

For little ones, dresses, overalls, or simple pieces in muted colors tend to photograph best. Small details like a favorite hair bow, family heirloom accessory, or simple necklace can add just the right touch of personality without competing for attention.
